Our tax practice recognizes that tax planning is an integral part of our clients' conduct of their business and financial affairs. To this end, we work closely with all the lawyers in our firm to provide our clients with comprehensive legal services. Robert A. Warwick manages the Tax Law area. Our services in the tax area include:
* recommending and establishing organizational structures for our business clients to generate favorable federal, state and local tax consequences, consistent with meeting our clients’ business objectives;
* recommending and implementing tax efficient strategies for carrying out domestic and international acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, and other transactions;
* tax planning to assist our clients in their business activities;
* personal income, estate and gift tax planning, including tax planning for life cycle events such as marriage, divorce and retirement;
* negotiating and drafting tax agreements and tax provisions for inclusion in other documents;
* representing our clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities;
* representing our clients in litigated tax cases.
